A traditional lawn doesn't suit the Dalys. This yard design incorporates three separate spaces along with the entry area. The most street-side space is a simple, easy to maintain area with a rock creek, Agapanthas and an Orchid tree. The center space has a brick paved area lined with benches that wraps around the sentimental center piece of a Jacaranda tree. The open yard in this space has a fragrant ground cover of varieties of Thyme, Chives, Blue Moon, and Alysum. Next to the house is the third, and most private space. Here, a shade structure provides solace on the paved patio and sliding japanese style screens provide privacy or openness as needed.
